was about to get under way, and Venus asked that the special stipulations be read aloud through the arena's PA system, so all in attendance could bear witness that J.R. agreed to the terms, and the outcome should and will be upheld and respected by both grapplers.

The “No DQ” or No Disqualification match lasted almost an hour, with favor going back and forth between the combatants several times .  And then, with both men tiring, James made a grievous mistake. With Venus slumped in one corner of the ring, J.R. Charged him hoping to ram his shoulder into the Mayor. At the last moment, Venus moved out of the way, and the Outlaw slammed into the turnbuckle, and fell straight back like a big felled oak tree. Venus shook the cob webs out of his mind just in time to hook one of J.R.'s legs, and with the referee in position, Venus secured the three count. he crowd went absolutely nuts, celebrating not only the Mayor's victory and sparing the city of Davie of having the "Outlaw" as a Mayor, but also Venus winning the coveted IPWA World's Heavyweight Wrestling Championship

James, for his part, left the ring and walked the final time back to the locker room. Reporters gathered outside, waiting to get a word from the defeated grappler, and as the newly retired "Outlaw" made his way out to his vehicle, a reported asked him to comment on what just happened...."Easy come, easy go" he mentioned. "Easy come, easy go...."
